Introducing... Alex Denis
An award winning news journalist Alex Denis is at home in front of the camera. Her television career began as a college student when she was hired to write and produce for Tampa’s WFTS ABC Action News. Less than a year later, the station promoted her to report as the Political Correspondent for the weekly talk show, Flashpoint.
Within a month of graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida with a degree in Telecommunications, Alex landed her second job. WJHG in Panama City, Florida, hired Alex as a general assignment reporter and Bureau Chief. Known in the business as a “one-man-band”, she videoed, wrote, edited, and reported daily for the 6 and 10 newscasts.
While Alex is a born story-teller, her other passion is entertainment. At a young age she fell in love with music and began playing the piano. Learning the piano lead to dancing, singing, and playing drums. Alex’s talents landed her a performing job at Busch Garden’s Tampa Bay. For nearly 4 years, Alex entertained thousands of guests as the lead in numerous performances.
Wanting a new challenge, Alex will draw on both her journalism and performing roots to pursue an exciting career wherever her multiple talents take her.
