Introducing... Anitra Coulter
Greetings! I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, with a Bachelor’s degree in Music/Voice Performance. I have performed a variety of character roles, including Madame Goldnertrille in Mozart's Der Schauspieldirektor, Lucy in Menotti's The Telephone, Die Konigen der Nacht in Mozart’s Magic Flute, and Cinderella's Mother/ The Voice of Rapunzel in Sondheim's Into the Woods. Before earning my degree from The University of Texas, I graduated from Arts Magnet High School in Dallas, Texas, where I studied visual art, and began my training as a soprano vocalist. I love to laugh, explore, create art through music, song, and visual media (painting, sculpting, etc.), horse-back riding, canoeing, film, cooking (especially outside of American culture), and a host of other exhilarating diversions.
I am a soprano vocalist, by trade. I am also vastly inspired by my students. As director and owner of Cedar Park’s Le Voicery at Studio A, I specialize in the performance and instruction of classical, operatic music, and Kindermusik, but also sing jazz, spiritual, cultural/ethnic music, and children’s music. My musical expertise encompasses performance, vocal technique, musical analysis, theory, and principle applications of classical music. I live for the pure fascination of what raw and precious materials lie beneath the veneer of what appears to be. I am entering the world of "Voice-Over"...and loving it. I have discovered about fifty different characters inside of this little psyche! I really love laughing and telling long imaginative stories that actually happened in real life, but making them sound like a beautiful or adventurous tale that someone made up. I am an advocate for people with special needs, and am endeavoring to establish charitable entities which would serve to empower them.
