Introducing... Chelsea Boulton
My name is Chelsea Elizabeth Boulton. I'm eighteen years old and a freshman at Catawba College. I am majoring in the BFA Musical Theatre program there. I have been performing on stage since the age of four. I started out in a theatre company in Fort Mill, SC - Narroway Productions. Throughout the years since then, I have also performed in shows with Matthews Community Playhouse, Union County Performance Ensemble, Central Academy of Technology and Arts, and recently, Catawba College. I was accepted into the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York/Los Angelos, but unfortunately I could not afford the tuition.
Performing is my heart and soul. I've never wanted to do anything else but perform. I don't care if its Broadway, a small theatre, a commercial, anything....as long as I get to perform, I'm happy. I have performed in various types of roles. I have performed as different ensemble members multiple times. I have also performed as a man (sir andrew in Twelfth Night), a prostitute (Gigi in Miss Saigon), a bum-prostitute (Bildad in JB), the wife of a soldier (The Good War), and a simple girl (Julie in Carousel). I have strived for the best in each role I've played, including my ensemble roles. I have been in around twenty five different productions (some that ran continuously for a few years) and have loved every minute of it. I hope to continue acting in any opportunity I am given.
