Introducing... JR Marshall
Born in Utah, raised in California and a Houstonian since 2004. My first performance was in Utah at 6yrs as a tap dancer.
The move to California ended my tapping career, but at 15 I sang & danced as a chorus member of “Bye Bye Birdie”.
At 17 I got my first speaking role as Rolf in The Sound Of Music”.
At 18 I did my first TV performance with John Wayne & Bob Hope. They were in Hollywood I was in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This was for the Freedom Foundation of Valley Forge and I was performing for the United States Marine Corps. A 3yr contract. They liked my performance so well they extended my contract another year.
In my first 6yrs here in Texas I’ve appeared in over 40 local productions. Theatre, TV & Indi films. My favorite moment on stage was at Pasadena Little Theatre as a Stripping Cop in “Sorry Wrong Chimney”. The ladies in the audience started throwing dollar bills on stage. That was a surprise, but it proves you can make money in Houston as an actor.
I also perform for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo as Curly The Rodeo Clown.
