Introducing... Jacqueline Boutote
My name is Jacqueline Boutote and I am 24 years old. I currently live in Watertown, CT. I am a classically trained lyric coloratura soprano. Currently, I am attending Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Connecticut, where I am studying music, focusing on vocal performance. I am currently studying under the direction of Dr. Margaret Astrup. Some of my Musical Theater performances include: The King and I, Oliver, Cinderella (Stepsister), Bye Bye Birdie (Margie), Jesus Christ Superstar, and HAIR (Linda). I have done back up singing for Kenny Rogers twice, and for Andy Williams. Before studying at Western CT, I went to Naugatuck Valley community College in Waterbury, CT and The Hartt School in West Hartford, CT. I have also been a member of Vox Concordis and a member of the Yale Bruckner Choir. My choir concert performances include: VivaldiGloria (Domine Deus, soprano in Laudamus Te), Handel Messiah (Rejoice Grately, How Beautiful are the Feet, Cone Unto Him, alto and soprano recits), Orff Carmina Burana, Bach Magnificat (2nd Soprano in Sucsepit Israel chorus), Mozart Requiem, Rutter Mass for the Children, Bach Ein feste Burg, HandleAs Long's the Hardt, SchubertMass in E flat (alto in Dona Nobis quartet), Bernstein Chichester Psalms (alto in all quartets), Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pachem, DvořákTe Deum, and Szymanowski Stabat Mater. My Opera performances include: The Zoo, The Magic Flute (Pamina), Dido and Aeneas (Dido; Chorus), L'enfant et les Sortilèges (Une Pastourelle), Amahl and the Night Visitors (Shepherdess) and Die Zauberflöte (Queen of the Night). I have recently been cast as Anna Maurrant in Street Scene, which will be performed in April of 2011, and Laetitia in The old maid and the Thief, which will be performed in May of 2011.
