Introducing... Josh Scheibe
Hi! I'm Josh Scheibe. I am currently pursuing a double major in Theatre Performance/English Composition at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
Theatre has had a profound impact on my life. I've been performing onstage since 2007, acting in nineteen productions; this includes two Wisconsin premieres and four world premieres (two of which were ensemble-devised shows). I was also the sound designer for two productions. I was involved in The Shepherd's Hands, Inc. for five years (2005-2010), cultivating talents in voice acting, puppetry, ventriloquism, and children's theatre. I have what some have called an "uncanny" ability to learn dialects and mimic other people's voices and body movements. Out of my work with The Shepherd's Hands grew the God's Rods Ministry at St. John's Lutheran School in Wauwatosa, WI, which I helped spearhead and which continues to perform at various venues in the Milwaukee area. I have also lent my acting talents to several short films. In May 2013, I had my first starring role in Hallowed Ground, a short student film; it was very well-received at the WLC Film Festival and will soon be submitted to other local film festivals.
In addition, I have been involved in some sort of choir (sometimes several) for the past 11 years and am beginning a twelfth as a member of both the Wisconsin Lutheran College Choir and Chamber Choir (and will be touring the United Kingdom with these choirs this coming summer). I have also been involved in two high school honors choirs: the WELS National High School Honor Choir in 2008 and the Wisconsin Little Ten Conference Honors Choir in 2010.
