Introducing... Katie Mapel

I'm a recent high school graduate who is highly invovled with the arts.
I participate in communtiy theatre with Premiere Productions in Vista as well as other theatre companies around San Diego. At this time I am attending a community college to finish my general education and I hope to transfer to an acting/performance arts college and pursue a career in theatre/film.
During high school, I was the only one in my class and in recent times to participate in every production put on by the Drama Department my 4 years in high school.
The plays I was cast in were "Antigone" as Antigone (2004), "Play On!" as Phyllis (2005), Neil Simon's "Rumors" as Chris Gorman (2006), and Steve Martin's "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" as Germaine (2007). I was also cast in three musicals: "Grease" as ChaCha DiGregorio (2005), "South Pacific" as a nurse and a member of the French girl trio (2006), and "The Boyfriend" as Lady Brockhurst(2008) and was assistant director of our 2007 musical, "Little Shop of Horrors".
I held many leadership positions in high school such as VP of my school's Drama Club (07-08), Secretary of the Drama Club (04-05) and the alto section leader in the all-girl choir (07-08). I was voted Most Inspirational, my section recieved Most Outstanding Section, and I recieved the Student of the Year award in the choir (all 07-08).
My life revolves around theatre and acting and I hope to pursue it as long as I can.
