Introducing... Robert Josef Cross
Robert Josef Cross began his musical journey as a child. His earliest memory is the sound of the metronome as it kept steady rhythm to the scales and classical pieces that made up his early instruction. His first public performance came in the role of Linus in the elementary school production of "A Charlie Brown Christmas." His solo drew applause and he was hooked.
His musical training continued during his secondary school education and expanded to include not only piano but guitar, woodwinds, brass instruments and percussion. An accomplished musician he was a featured performer with local and regional symphonic organizations.
At an early age Robert began working professionally in nightclubs throughout the southwest fronting his own professional band. This continued into his college years where he majored in music with a concentration in Music Theory before leaving to pursue a full time career as a musician and performer.
Robert returned to higher education and graduated with a BBA in accounting/economics. Currently he serves in Senior Managment for KUT 90.5 FM a leading public radio station in Austin Texas.
