Overview

Synopsis

What happens after we die? In Peter Tarsi’s one-act play Tracks, ten people from all over the country find themselves in a single subway station after their deaths. They are faced with a profound decision: Do they get on the next train without knowing where it goes? As these characters discuss their lives and deaths, they reveal their fears and vulnerabilities - elements that only complicate the question of whether their train goes “up” or “down.” In this play written specifically for high schoolers by a high school teacher, questions of what makes a person good or bad, what is forgivable or condemnable, and how much a person can rely on faith challenge the audience to answer these philosophical questions for themselves.
