Central Community Theatre
Central Arts Players (CAP) opened its doors in 1964 with a production of Brigadoon. The group was formed as a venue for musical theater, showcasing the talents of the world renowned Central United Methodist Church Sanctuary Choir. The success of CAP's productions led to its expansion which included members of the community outside the Church and a full spectrum of theater arts offerings.
CAP's current transformation ushers us into its largest undertaking and most exciting step in its evolution - a full production season including workshop opportunities intended to develop and nurture stagecraft and performance skills. Located in the heart of the Phoenix Arts District, they proudly present Central Community Theater, an Arizona 501(c) 3 Nonprofit Corporation and home to Central of Arts Players and many spectacular events to come.
