Spindrift School of Performing Arts
Spindrift School of Performing Arts is a community-based non-profit performing arts school located in the cities of Pacifica and Castro Valley in California. Founded in 1995 by Pacifica parents/musicians Alex & Martha Bootzin, SSPA offers classes in acting, voice, dance (tap, jazz, hip-hop, modern/Broadway), guitar, piano, violin, flute, sax, and percussion. Classes are taught by local performers and musicians. Instructors are chosen not just for the their technical ability, but for their teaching philosophy. Classes are offered quarterly for people of all ages. Spindrift’s popular summer camp for kids is offered in two cycles each summer (sign up early as these camps fill quickly!) Spindrift also offers private lessons and works closely with its sister organization – Pacifica Spindrift Players – to prepare future thespians for a life that is rich in the performing arts.
