Kumquat: Pronounced gumgut in Cantonese, the kumquat is a pun for gold and for good fortune.

If you take the lines "You're standing in my kumquat!" (meaning that Huck is getting in the way of Bell's good fortune/happiness) and "You're clipping my kumquat!" (suggests that he is taking away from the good fortune) and finally Huck's line "Damn your kumquat!" (shows his utter contempt for Bell and complete disregard for his fortune and is the true moment of the split between them).

I hope this helps!
