How a get a formal qualification in project management?

I hold a graduate degree in engineering and have considerable industry experience in my domain. However, to take my career to the next level, I have realised that I will need to gain a formal qualification in project management - preferably IT project management.

However, I don't know where to start and what type to qualification to look for.
