Side Show is a great musical about the "freak shows" of the earlier 1900s. It focuses on a pair of siamese twins, Daisy and Violet who "want to be like everyone else." The show focuses on their seek or love and the obstacles being a siamese twin faces. The music is by the same writers as Dreamgirls, and I personally love the music. It is well written, and very moving. There are quite a few significant male roles. I would recommend auditioning if it isn't too late. The male roles are powerful and typical masculine types for the most part. I know the women's parts better, but I personally am extremely moved by the show.
