Bo Adebayos NFL dream isnt dead just yet. Beats Dre uk . The six-foot-three, 265-pound defensive end from Western Kentucky has been invited to the Detroit Lions mini-camp next week. Adebayo hasnt signed with the NFL club but could after the camp and secure an invitation to the main training camp. Adebayo, an Edmonton native, is the second Canadian-born player to be invited to an NFL mini-camp. Wilfrid Laurier receiver Shamawd Chambers, a native of Markham, Ont., and the third-ranked prospect for Thursdays CFL draft, was invited to next weeks Philadelphia Eagles mini-camp with a chance to secure a contract and training camp berth afterwards. Adebayos dream at Western Kentucky was to get the chance to play in the NFL but he figured a career south of the border wasnt in the cards after being bypassed in last weeks draft and not signing with a club as an undrafted free agent. He had firmly set his sights on the CFL draft, where he was expected to be selected within the opening two rounds. But receiving the invitation from Detroit certainly has buoyed the 24-year-olds spirits. "This is where I wanted to be all along," he said Tuesday. "Now that Im getting this opportunity I dont want to let it go to waste. "I want to make the most of it, I just want to get noticed out there with effort and doing what I need to do." Like Chambers, Adebayo is eligible for the CFL draft and while both players certainly have no guarantees of an NFL contract, their mini-camp invitations could impact their standing Thursday. And although hell be putting his CFL dreams on hold, Adebayo said his NFL opportunity doesnt diminish the importance of Thursdays draft in his mind. "Im still looking forward to the draft, Im still excited about it," he said. "But this is a great opportunity I have now." Saskatchewan Huskies guard Ben Heenan remains the consensus No. 1 pick Thursday with the Saskatchewan Roughriders continuing to hold the first selection. GM Brendan Taman has spoken to teams interested in making a deal for the top pick, with the persistent talk saying the Edmonton Eskimos -- who have the second and sixth selections -- were among those clubs. But on Tuesday, Eskimos GM Eric Tillman reportedly withdrew from consideration for the No. 1 selection. Taman had said his asking price for the top pick was a 2012 first-rounder, a future selection and-or Canadian player. Up to now, Adebayo figured all his pro football opportunities were entirely in the NFL. It was only during his senior season he learned he could play professionally in Canada, and because he was born in Edmonton could do so as a Canadian. Adebayo spent his first eight years in Alberta before moving to the U.S, and growing up in Georgia. When he learned about the CFL and being eligible to play there as a Canadian, Adebayo successfully applied to the league for non-import status at this years draft. Adebayos mother was attending nursing school in Edmonton when he was born while his father worked as a university professor. Hes the youngest of four boys but the only member of his family to be born in Canada. And now, at least, Adebayo has options because if the NFL tryout doesnt result in a contract he could still be drafted Thursday and have a future with a CFL club. "This (Lions camp invite) is another opportunity and just adds to the excitement I was already feeling," Adebayo said. "But Im just getting started so the more options I have, the better." Adebayo was an honourable mention all-Sun Belt Conference player last year after posting career highs in tackles (31), sacks (four) and tackles for a loss (8.5) in nine starts, meaning more than a third of his stops came behind the line of scrimmage. He was granted non-import status too late to be included on the CFL Scouting Bureaus top-15 list. Adebayo wasnt invited to either the NFL combine or CFL evaluation camp but posted a 40-yard dash time of 4.79 seconds at Western Kentuckys pro day. He also had a vertical leap of 32 inches and 18 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press. Adebayo has the long arms (33 3/4 inches) many scouts like defensive linemen to have so they can create separation from opposing offensive linemen and dictate the flow up front. Adebayo also has a long reach (78 inches), which can be an asset both against the run and rushing the passer. Beats Dre . With Kieran Richardson having put Sunderland ahead shortly after halftime, the former Celtic and Aston Villa coach watched from the stands as his club missed a chance for 2-0 when goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey saved a penalty from Sebastian Larsson. Monster Beats uk . -- Matt Scott had 469 total yards and accounted for four touchdowns, helping Arizona overcome a huge day by Southern Californias Marqise Lee to beat the 10th-ranked Trojans 39-36 on Saturday. . And through the first week and a half with his new team, the change has been good for both him and the AL Central leaders. Taking over at third base and batting second, Youkilis had 11 RBIs and two homers in his first 11 games. Beats by Dr Dre uk . -- The Chicago Bears have signed their top pick, defensive end Shea McClellin, to a four-year contract with an option for a fifth year. cheap beats by dre uk . LaPorta had the procedure on Thursday in Nashville, Tenn. The Indians said LaPorta, who spent most of last season at Triple-A Columbus, had a "debridement" of his left hip joint.BARCELONA, Spain -- Canadian Daniel Nestor and new partner Robert Lindstedt of Sweden missed a chance at their first title together on Sunday, losing 5-7, 7-6(7), 10-4 to Austrias Alexander Peya and Brazils Bruno Soares in the doubles final of the Barcelona Open. The 40-year-old from Toronto and his teammate had to play two matches on the day. They won an interrupted semifinal from the day before 4-6, 7-6(6), 10-3 (match tiebreak) over the Spanish pair of David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco. Hours later they played Peya and Soares in a match that took one hour 44 minutes. "It was a tough day today for us, we got close but not enough," said Nestor. "This was a tough week but we still have matches before the French Open. Those guys were too good on the important points." Nestor last played a final in October at Basel when he teamed with former partner Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia on a one-off basis. He is a four-time Barcelona champion, winning the clay title in 20099 and 2010 with Zimonjic as well as in 2005 and 2006 with Mark Knowles of the Bahamas. Beats By Dre Sale. In Sundays final, Nestor and Lindstedt struck three costly double-faults and went into defensive mode to save 10 of the 13 break points they faced. They broke their opponents only once from five opportunities. In the earlier semifinal, Nestors team trailed a set and stood 2-2 in the second overnight when the match was abandoned Saturday due to rain. Nestors team won the second set in a tiebreak and ran out to eight match points in the tiebreak third set now a part of doubles. They advanced on their third winning opportunity. The pair are playing their second event together after Monte Carlo last week, where they lost to Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ont., and Bernard Tomic in the quarter-finals. Nestor owns 80 career doubles titles from 131 finals. He has won at least won doubles title per year since winning his first at Bogota in 1994 and owns eight grand slam titles. ' ' '
