Roars for Beauty and the Beast.

Hi,
I've been cast as the "Beast" in a local production of "Disney's Beauty and the Beast"
I've gone thru hundreds of videos on Google to hear how others have done their roars, since we are not going to use sound effects, but didn't find a single video that did not use sound effects. Any ideas where I might find some audio clips of real people roaring? Sounds silly, but its hard to figure out how to do it make it sound good, and not hurt my voice. So far I've had no luck. any help would be appreciated.
