Just Starting out

Hey, Im cherokee, 17 and fresh outta high school. Ive never been in a play or anything. I want to get into entertainment. Im starting from scratch. any tips???

Im 15, but I guess i have some advice, (as much as a 15 year old can give) why don't you try joining you community theater group, by doing this you will automatically get any notices about auditions they may have, this will start you off and get you experience that you will need to get anywhere big. You probably wont be paid anything for being in a community theater (it is all volunteer work where I live), but it is a window of opportunity. I know someone who used to be a performer in my local theater group and then she ended up in Hollywood, if your good, it will start you off. Also always, always look through newspapers online anywhere for auditions, why don't you join ACTRA or some other acting organization they are a big help. Look up some different monologues to practice. Do photoshoots, even if just with friends. Study poses, emotion, dance, etc. Anything that will help you develop.
