What is this business software? need to start the business?

i want to start a small business,i need a software to mark my costumer detail , bill (balance) ,in stock out stock,some kind a software like this, do any one know where i can download it for free ? or any advice ? what they call this software ?
If you have a lot of inventory and retail sales, try a google search for Business Software retail sales software or POS software (POS means point of sale).If you're talking 50 or so invoices a month or something like that, with just a few POS sales, then try Quickbooks or Quicken. I hate them both, but they seem to be the most popular, and I don't know the alternative, but then I'm an Excel geek and would probably use that.
