High School Musical auditions

I'm auditioning for High School Musical, but not for any specific character. I'm a mezzo-soprano, and I can go up to a high G. What would be a good song to sing? I'm thinking about "Nothing" from A Chorus Line.

Nothing is a good one.

Adelaide's Lament from Guys and Dolls is great if you can pull it off. Also, 'There are Worse Things I can Do' from Grease is good - especially for a High School Musical audition.

"Nothing" is a good choice, especially if you feel comfortable with it. Here are my suggestions

If you are looking for a good pop style belting uptempo - check out "My Strongest Suit" from Aida.
If you want more of a pop ballad - look at either "What I Did For Love" from Chorus Line or "A New Life" from Jekyll and Hyde

Aw, thanks... but my auditions are over... (I'm leaving this post up for other people to reference.)
