Analysis
Catherine’s son, Theo is a young boy who has grown up without a father. He grows attached to his pet duck, whom he attempts to show off to Pippin. When the duck dies, innocent Theo is devastated and believes his own life is over. Pippin manages to cheer him with a prayer.
