Nettuno (English: Neptune) is the god of the sea. Prior to this story, Nettuno has put a curse on Ulisse which causes him to wander away from home, no matter how hard he tries to return. This curse is a punishment for Ulisse blinding Nettuno’s son, the cyclops Polyphemus.
