Our Creative Communities Team offer opportunities for young people and communities to take part in activity that seeks to nurture creativity, develop skills, explore identity and promote diversity.
We work in many different settings across Suffolk and North Essex, delivering a range of diverse projects which always have artistic practice at their heart.
The role is diverse and changeable, and seeks to both challenge and develop young artists through working with more experienced Lead Practitioners to plan and deliver workshops. Several of our previous Emerging Practitioners have been given opportunities as Lead Practitioners since joining us.
Emerging Practitioners could get involved in supporting a number of our Creative Communities programmes, from our weekly youth theatres, to our projects supporting underserved communities.
We'd love to hear from you if you have an interest in or some experience in any of the following, although experience isn't necessary:
- A range of practical performing arts and creative skills
- Workshop planning
- Delivering workshops for young people aged between 7-20 years old, for early years participants and their families, and/ or for adults
- Developing participant's skills as theatre makers, and guiding them towards a performance
- Developing participant's confidence and aspiration
