Context
Lady Britomart has called in her son, Stephen, to discuss his father and family history. Lady Britomart and her husband have been separated for many years and the family has rarely discussed him during that time. He is not a popular figure with them, as he makes his money by selling arms and munitions abroad. However, Lady Britomart has realized that she needs the financial support of her estranged husband to provide for her children as they embark on adulthood and marriage.
