Context
It is the middle of the night and Shane has been up drinking with his brothers and cousins. He is annoyed that his cousin Michael has questioned his involvement with the IRA, and that he has revealed so much about his activities. He is drunk and malicious, and keen to get his revenge. When he realizes that his cousin Oisin has been listening to their conversation, he decides to get inside Oisin’s head. Oisin is fourteen, angry with his mother, naive, and impressionable.
