Daniel Vincent Panessa CV Mr. Panessa is the recipient of the 2003 & 2005 “Helen Hayes Theater, New York, Best Scenic Design Award” for his original stage interpretations of Rogers & Hammerstein’s “The King & I” and Jerry Herman's “Mame”. In addition, he has received the “2001 Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award” for “Best Musical” for his work as scenic designer for “Steel Pier”. Mr. Panessa has recently won the Helen Hayes Theater Award for “Best Musical 2009” as a member of the design team with nominations by The Helen Hayes Theater and The Paper Mill Playhouse for Best Scenic Design for his unique & artistic interpretation for the revival of “Thoroughly Modern Millie.”
