About Fundamental Theatre Project
Fundamental Theater Project is a NY-based 501c3 non-profit arts organization dedicated to fostering international collaboration in order to produce dynamic theatre and create a dialogue that continues beyond the theater doors. We support and cultivate emerging artists from around the world, and work with established industry professionals to tell engaging stories that resonate within the global community.
FTP was founded in April 2010 by Sam Underwood and Nicola Murphy, as a means to create exciting new work with other immigrant actors living in NYC. Their debut main-stage production, Trans-Euro Express by Gary Duggan, was an Off-Broadway and NY premiere, and established a relationship with Irish Arts Centre.
