Biography
Jay Kuo
Jay Kuo is an American librettist, composer, and lyricist. While attending Stanford University, he wrote and produced Upwardly Mobile. His second musical Insignificant Others ran from 2006 - 2008 in San Francisco, winning the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award for Best Original Script. His third show, Worlds Apart, was performed in concert in San Francisco and at New World Stages in New York City. His best known work is Allegiance, which premiered on Broadway in 2015. In addition to his work as a composer, Kuo has produced several shows on Broadway. Kuo is also a practicing lawyer and Chief Creative Officer of The Social Edge.
